A Gentler Approach to Veterinary Medicine
As part of the Calm Care Certification (CCC), you can expect to learn the most up to date medical standards while contributing to a supportive culture, and how to have the most comprehensive view when it comes to a patient’s health.
To become a CCC facility requires that 100% of employees (including part-time staff) complete the CCC course. This includes anyone who comes into contact with clients and animals, including Doctors, Technicians (regardless of certification), Management, and Front Office Staff.
Throughout the certification process, you can expect to learn about topics such as clinic culture preservation, empathetic & approachable communication, understanding canine behavior + companion animal behavior workups, and many more.
To be Calm Care Certified, team members must complete required training modules, questionnaires, and be able to demonstrate the following:
Low-stress handling techniques
Use species-specific calming strategies
Communicate treatment plans clearly + empathetically
Ability to think outside the box and adjust approach based on the individual patient’s behavior
